AI and Deflation

Ive been thinking, if every company starts using AI the price of goods would fall. The government then creates money to prevent goods prices from deflating, thus eliminating any positive effect AI has on our lives.

Is this an intended effect, what rationale explains why we would do such a thing, and who is said to benefit from our expense?
