Apple vs. UK Gov: Encryption Showdown

The UK government has ordered Apple to add backdoor access to encrypted iCloud data, citing security concerns. Apple is pushing back, arguing it would compromise user privacy. Rather than complying, Apple might remove encrypted storage from the UK altogether. If they cave, it could set a precedent for other governments to demand the same.

This is yet another reminder: Never store private keys or other sensitive data online. If your Bitcoin keys are in iCloud (or any cloud), they’re not really yours.
