Bitcoin won't replace the dollar it'll replace gold

This is what I think.

Most people are not going to buy or adopt Bitcoin for use unless their governments tell them to do so. I think what's more likely than Bitcoin being the standard medium of exchange is that the world monetary system goes back to having their regular day-to-day currency being backed by something hard and instead of that being gold I think it'll be Bitcoin.

So the dollar will be replaced by cbdc and the cbdc will be back by Bitcoin.

Whatever the standard for Bitcoin is going to be I don't think we're going to actually see that be locked into place until all of the Bitcoin has been mined and as we know at that point it's just going to be those who have it and those who don't and if some other party wants to get someone to part with their Bitcoin they're going to have to offer them some crazy number in whatever currency.

This is just me speculating. What are your thoughts? I want to hear any and all counter arguments.
