Blockchain.info is coming back, what would you want from a Bitcoin explorer in 2026?
Some of you here probably remember Blockchain.info from the early days of Bitcoin.
We’ve recently started bringing the Blockchain.info identity back to our Explorer and, more importantly, rebuilding the actual experience behind it.
I work on the Explorer team. I’m posting here less to announce the rebrand and more because I’d genuinely like feedback from people who still use Bitcoin explorers regularly.
We’re progressively rebuilding the Explorer page by page, and there’s a lot more we want to do around Bitcoin.
What would make a Bitcoin explorer genuinely better for you today?
For example:
- What frustrates you about existing Bitcoin explorers?
- What information do you usually look for after pasting a transaction or address?
- What Bitcoin-specific data or analytics are currently missing?
- Are there features from the old Blockchain.info Explorer that you’d actually want back?
- What would make you choose one explorer over another?
UX criticism is very welcome too. If something sucks, tell us.
This is still early, and I’d much rather build around what Bitcoin users actually find useful than just add features because they look good on a roadmap.
