Can't send from Coinomi to Phoenix

On Android. In Phoenix, select receive, swipe to the Bitcoin QR code. Tap copy (address starts with bc1).

In Coinomi, select Bitcoin account, select Send, tap paste button next to To field. Tap Amount field. Coinomi says, in red text, "The provided address is not valid."

Now what?
