China ASIC Shutdown — What Do You Think This Really Means for BTC?

Since most of you have probably seen the news about China shutting down a large number of ASIC miners today, I’m curious how everyone is interpreting the impact.

We’ve already seen hashrate react, and historically these kinds of events tend to shake things up short-term but strengthen decentralization long-term.

A few thoughts/questions:

• Is this just another temporary relocation cycle, or a deeper long-term shift in mining geography?

• Do you see this as bullish (less China influence) or bearish (network disruption + fear)?

• How much do you think this actually matters in 2026 compared to earlier China crackdowns?

• Will this meaningfully affect difficulty, miner profitability, or price in the next few weeks?

Personally, it feels less like a threat to Bitcoin and more like proof that the network just keeps adapting — but curious to hear other perspectives.

What’s your take?
