Did anyone have luck with suing coin base/ phone company for sim swap and stolen crypto funds?

My friend is currently in a lawsuit with coinbase and Verizon. He was victim of a swim swap and hacker got into the account and stole $250k worth of crypto from coinbase wallet. Just wondering if anyone else had this experience and if they had luck with lawsuit.
