Don’t any of us worry that we’re all wrong about Bitcoin?

Disclaimer: I am a HODLer. I’ve been buying bitcoin since Jan 2018. So I’m not hating on it. Just to preface what I’m about to say.

Does it ever bother you, as a Bitcoin investor, that you, and your Twitter circles, and subreddit communities, and other echo chambers of your life, are all filled with the same people spreading the same message?

If Bitcoin really goes to the millions, and we, the risk takers, end up actually being right about the use case and value of Bitcoin for the future of the world - that would create a WHOLE lot of new wealth. We’d all go from regular Joes to sudden multi millionaires.

Doesn’t that concern you? The idea that we all think we’re right? We all think we’re early? We all think we found the answer? We all preach to others that they’re wrong or ignorant for not doing what we do?

Doesn’t it start to feel like a religion? Or a cult? No different than a Jehovah’s Witness going door to door and peddling the Bible?

Don’t you ever worry that you’re taking advice of already successful people like Michael Saylor, who really doesn’t stand to lose much if he ends up being wrong, since he’ll still be rich? While we are over here putting life savings into this concept, and just…hoping the next guy pays more than we did?

I sometimes look at my account and question for how long I really plan on holding this Bitcoin. Am I just another sucker in a much bigger scheme? Or am I a visionary for buying Bitcoin “early?” And is Bitcoin truly a currency? Or is it a speculative investment?

If Bitcoin is so rare, and can be so valuable, then why would ANYONE spend it? If its entire purpose is to keep skyrocketing in value as supply dries up, then wouldn’t you be an idiot to USE it as a currency?

Maybe I’m too paranoid or cynical, and my head isn’t in the cloud like other Maxis - but I feel like surely we can’t all be right. That would be just too lucky, and most people don’t get lucky like that.

I’d say, the world will find a way to make us wrong. They’ll invent something else. They’re adopt something else. The Bitcoin might not ever grant us financial freedom that we seek.
