Friend sent BCH to a segwit address - is recovery still possible?

After digesting quite a bit of information - I am unclear on whether or not it is possible to spend the BCH which was sent to a BTC Segwit address.

The segwit address was made from a Coinbase Core wallet - so I have a master key which starts with xprv. I imported and all my private keys into an Electron Cash wallet, hoping the BCH will magically appear by a white-hat miner, but I'm not holding my breath.

The kicker is, this wallet has already sent a transaction via BTC, so the public key is exposed on the BTC block chain already.

I filled out btc.com's google form, but from what I can tell, that service is no longer active, and the ability to redeem these coins was removed and added back again in 2019, and I assume still active?

I would provide the transaction id, but since the public key is exposed, I don't want to encourage someone to take it if it is recoverable.

It's only $200 USD worth, but... it's still something.
