Friend wants to withdraw 5 figures into uk bank

I have a friend who is owed some money, the person can only pay them back in crypto, he wants to know what the best way to withdraw that money is without banks questioning or him having to pay tax on what is owed to him. Is there anyway to do so or will he have to declare it regardless?
