Getting old unconfirmed transaction to confirm on Bitcoin Core

Hi! I was going through my old external hard drive and thought I’d double check my bitcoin core wallet that was on there that I used to use when I would buy fun stuff off Silk Road. To my surprise, there is an unconfirmed transaction from 2017 (that I tried to send to my other wallet) and it’s worth like a grand now. Is it stuck forever? I’ve been trying to download the whole blockchain to it can sync to the ledger but it’s taking so long. I also have a feeling that the fee that it was sent with is microscopic since it was from 2017 so when it does download that point in the blockchain no one will touch it lol.

Any help would be appreciated!! Kinda a noob in this arena. Thanks!
