Has anyone else experienced a desire for you / your bitcoin investment to fail - specifically from others you personally know?

Long story made short, I have a family member that involves himself in stocks. He and I usually get along quite well, but for some reason or another he’s almost hostile whenever someone brings up that I’ve put most of my money into bitcoin, almost to the point that he’s rooting against me and waiting for an “I told you so” moment. Has anyone had similar experiences? It just strikes me as really odd and is completely secluded to this one particular subject
