How to explain to people that bitcoin has allowed me to live without working?

For context, I am 34, no children, no debt of any kind and I live in a developing country with a cost of living much less than my home country. Although I'm by no means 'rich' my investment in bitcoin has worked out well for me that I can live comfortably here without having to work. From time to time people ask me what I do, and when I say well I don't work they have many questions. I'm reluctant to talk about bitcoin because hardly anyone understands it, and when the market dips they assume I've lost all my money etc.

Does anyone have suggestions for a good cover story? Or a way to be vague about it. The question has come up especially with women I date. Obviously one should be transparent and honest about they financial situation if the relationship becomes serious, but I fear the mention of Botcoin would lead them to think I'm some kind of criminal, or at least irresponsible etc, and send them walking the other way.
