How to: move BTC from cash app to cold storage?

Hello, I'm extremely new to this. Just bought my first $30 of BTC on cash app due to sheer ease of access. How does one move BTC from cash app (or any other online holding place) to a cold wallet? Is there a benefit to moving it to a cold wallet? Is there a recommended cold wallet?
