If your goal is to hedge against inflation bitcoin is monumentally better than gold.

There is between 1.5% and 2.5% more gold mined per year - call it 2%. This means over the next 35 years (by 2060) the supply of gold will double and this doesnt account for an increase in demand which will incentivise miners to mine more even faster.

Over the next 35 years the supply of bitcoin will grow by 6% maximum no matter how much more demand there is.

The difference in scarcity is absolutely astounding!

Bitcoin isnt just a little bit better than gold and a little bit scarcer than gold. It is 100x to 1000x better.

If your goal is to hedge against inflation bitcoin is a monumentally better asset to hold.
