Is "Mastering Bitcoin" outdated?

Hey guys. I'd love to learn about bitcoin but I've heard that crypto books get outdated quick. This book is from 2014 but it seems to mostly cover the fundamental nuts and bolts of how bitcoin works and some people are saying it's still not that outdated. Is this true? What book should I read that isn't outdated? I know nothing about crypto.
