Is small inflation (2-3%) good for growth of economy?

I was watching this video and the lady interviewer said that inflation is required for growth, which puzzled me. Indeed, we need to create new debt, so that new businesses can use it to be productive, and then repay back the debt with interest. I think inflation is only a problem when that debt is out of control (like now with US).
