Is u/AmericanScream Reddit’s Worst Mod?

Hey Bitcoiners, let’s talk about u/AmericanScream, the r/Buttcoin mod who seems obsessed with trashing crypto. I think he might be Reddit’s worst moderator, and here’s why.

His moderation makes r/Buttcoin a toxic anti-crypto echo chamber. He enforces rules that ban any pro-Bitcoin comments as shilling, killing any chance for real debate. The sub’s just a place to mock us, not discuss blockchain’s potential. His dumb posts, like calling us crypto bros, and quick bans for even slight pushback feel like he’s got a personal grudge.

His influence doesn’t stop at Reddit. On X as AmScream and even in a 2021 Forbes article, he spreads FUD, calling Bitcoin a scam. This makes our community look delusional and paints Reddit as hostile to innovation. Most mods stick to their own subs, but his loud anti-crypto crusade gives him way too much impact.

It’s not just bias. His approach wrecks Reddit’s whole point of open discussion. By turning r/Buttcoin into a hate factory, he’s doing more damage than your average mod. What do you guys think? Have you dealt with him? Is he one of the worst mods currently active on reddit?
