Listening vs non listening bitcoin node ?

Hi all ,

I recently started running an umbrel node and I understand that it now means that I don’t have to rely on anyone else to provide me real time blockchain data and to relay my transactions.

But apparently umbrel node is non listening so it doesn’t interact with other nodes or “share much information”. How or who maintains and shares the block chain with new nodes? How can this be possible if everyone was to run only umbrel non listening nodes?
