Math and crypto

I posted a question about how much return USD would come if i bought in at bitcoin. Basically. Some people said if i cannot do the math. I shouldn’t be investing. I’m not going to pretend that I have it all understood but I definitely don’t think I need to worry what math is necessary for understanding crypto? I’m pretty sure I can learn anything and I was just wondering from you guys. How did you learn how everything works? I may not be the sharpest tool in a box, but I do understand investing can really drive up the prices and I don’t think it takes a wizard to figure out that he can invest some money and see the numbers go up and take it out eventually.
