Nayib Bukele Addresses Mainstream FUD on El Salvador

Bitcoin Magazine ran an op-ed ostensibly written by Bukele about El Salvador's adoption of BTC as legal tender. He makes some very good points despite BTC's precipitous price drop.

• Financial elites have many reasons to poo-poo BTC in El Salvador, ie. FEAR
• During 2021, El Salvador's economy grew 10.3%, or by $4 billion
• $50 million in unrecognized BTC losses is barely a flea on an elephant's back
• Other countries will likely adopt crypto as well (ie. Russia is wavering as we speak)
• Tourism is up 50% in El Salvador, which could well be related to BTC adoption
• Crime in ES has radically decreased, and Bukele has 4x the popularity rating of any G8 president

Clearly Bitcoin would work much better in El Salvador if they'd only consider using BCH, rather than the ridiculous Chivo/Strike/custodial Lightning garbage they are currently pushing. Maybe somebody like Marc Falzon can get through to somebody in the El Salvador government about BCH!
