need to recover Bitcoin from "sunsetted" custodial provider, BlueWallet
A long time ago I had some Bitcoin, what I thought was lunch money. I stored it in a custodial (doh!) Lightning wallet and forgot about it.
I was just reviewing some little old accounts and discovered that the value has exploded. But it seems the provider did an exit scam sunsetting in 2023. Now they are saying you have to enter your details in a form and they will review it in 3 months. If this sounds suspicious, well... there are reports from users that the company (BlueWallet) haven't honored this process since 2023. (I emailed them and they haven't given me a meaningful response, just redirected me to the form which I already used.)
I have to recover my funds because it's a large amount and I'm in financial difficulties My question to war-tested Bitcoiners is: when you faced a possible scam by a crpyto company, which social media sites did you have to advertise on before you got your money back? Because of the work I do, I am fortunate enough to have accounts with large followings on X/Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Telegram, Discord, Mastodon, Farcaster, Bitcointalk, etc
But do I really have to go through them all one by one before I get a response from BlueWallet? I'd really live to cut this short, with minimal harm to all parties concerned.
