Noob Advice

I have 8000 usd and I feel keeping cash is just not great these days, I feel like the economy is so crazy right now that it would be a good idea to put at least half of my money into the blockchain, Is now a good time? I know I dont have much but yesterday I got 500 of btc, Im thinking maybe to put another 500 into btc, a 1000 into eth, and maybe 500 into btc cash, any advice from a wise man?
