People who were ultra early to Bitcoin - how did they catch on to it?

Imagine it's 2009. You hear about "money without borsers" and how'l it will revolutionise the finance. Imagine looking up the price and it's worth fractions of a penny. Imagine trying to understand how to send Bitcoin from one wallet to another.

There were so many barriers to entry - yet people still latched on.

Two main questions: 1) How did people hear about Bitcoin so early? 2) Why did they stick around?
