Question about Cake Wallet

Asking this here as r/cakewallet does not allow support questions. Basically, I attempted to send BTC to my Cake Wallet BTC Wallet, however the transaction has been stuck on pending for over an hour and a half, leaving me to assume it has failed.

I followed the instructions on an official Cake Wallet YouTube video, went to my BTC Wallet, clicked on Recieve/went to the address page and copied the BTC address, which I then used to send a small amount of BTC to from an external Wallet.

What did I do wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
