Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can you buy BCH on an exchange from another country?

I’ve been looking into buying bch, btc, and a couple others without KYC. So far the 3 ways I’ve discovered or are obvious are…

• locally in person (duh)
• a site, which seems legit, where I buy items for people using my credit card on amazon, and get paid in crypto) I think it only pays btc though
• a peer to peer exchange (there’s a couple that seem legit) with escrow.

But I got to thinking, are there any countries that have exchanges that don’t have KYC? Say El Salvador or some African nation? Somewhere where I can just use a debit/credit card with low/no international fees and just buy it and transfer to my cold storage?

Or what about buying on an exchange in another country that might have KYC, but would have no meaningful way to share that data where I live so it becomes moot?

Is this something people do?
