Today I remembered something shitty that PayPal did to me 10 years ago.
I sold some jewellery on eBay for around $500AUD, buyer paid into my PayPal account. Jewellery sent off and received by the buyer. No worries.
2 weeks later I receive an email from PayPal saying "The buyer who bought your jewellery did so illegally using a credit card that was not her own. The money has been returned to the credit card issuer". When I asked about getting the jewellery back they said that was up to me. EBay didn't help me either. They have to comply with the bank's requests and I have no grounds for any sort of challenge.
So I ended up with no money and no jewellery.
Wouldn't have happened if I took BTC for the jewellery purchase!
