What are the real thinking of Americans about censorship? I am confused.

I have one question. I would be very grateful if you could reply. (I didn't post this question on r/defi or r/CryptoCurrentity because I thought I could get a fairer answer here.)

Even if Ponzi schemes, money laundering, and tax evasion do occur, it is argued that censorship should be "completely" eliminated because the benefits of decentralization, self-organization and anonymity are greater. For example, they say tornado cache should be legalized.

What I wonder is the purity of these arguments. At first, I thought that those who made this claim were only making that claim to protect their money because their money is currently invested in DeFi. However, if I listen carefully to their stories, it may sound like they are making such claims based on their own reasonable reasons, regardless of their interests. I became confused.

If I were an American, I would be able to grasp the truth of the argument, but unfortunately I am a South Korean. So I made a questionnaire as follows.

Assuming the American population is 100,

1. The percentage of people who need an adequate level of censorship to prevent tax evasion or money laundering
2. The percentage of people who argue that censorship should be abolished altogether. And among these,

a. The percentage of people who make such an argument in a pure state based on their conscience

b. The percentage of people who claim to do so because their money is currently invested in Crypto
