What is the relationship between the fiat system and climate change ?

Was listening to the podcast of Jordan Peterson and Saifedin Ammous and some relationship between climate change speeches and the fiat system came up.

From my understanding, climate change's responsibility is thrown on the people whereas they are not the ones that created it.

I don't really get the point of that discussion. They did say that climate impact was real, but I don't understand what their complete thesis.

Anyone has a clear view on that ?
