Why do Bitcoiners wear Bitcoin merch in public?

Bitcoin is a good percentage of my net worth. I'm not a whale, merely a crab working on evolving into an octopus.

I'm happy to talk about it anonymously online. I'm happy to go to conferences. But the last thing I want anyone to know is that I have assets that are valuable today but will become ever-more-valuable as time goes on.

Am I paranoid? Too cautious? Or not cautious enough?
