Wouldn’t it be better to have the mining rewards decrease by ~0.05% daily instead of a stepwise 50% in 4 years?
There seems to be the mainstream half-truth that “bitcoin is a bubble”. While it’s wrong in the longer term, it does seem that the gigantic supply shocks caused by halvings trigger bubbles, which I’m not sure is positive to Bitcoin except for speculators.
Why do mining rewards decrease a stepwise 50% every four years instead of small daily decreases that are more easily digestible by the market?
