Wrong seed word

I tried to back up my trezor. The first word was similar but not exact. It would not give me option to continue spelling the first word so I went with the word they supplied me, all the others words were a complete match. After all the typing on that little screen(3x) trezor says all words don’t match. I can not get trezor to spell first word completely. Thank you
